Terms
The agreement between you and Vea, in plain words. By making an account you agree to it. Last changed 22 October 2026.
What Vea is
Vea is a weekly check-in, a place for your habits and goals, and a collection of other people's published routines (Blueprints) to take ideas from. It runs on veaos.app and in the Vea app for iPhone. It's made in the Netherlands by one independent developer, as a small project.
It's a tool, not advice
Nothing in Vea is medical, psychological, financial or legal advice. That includes Blueprints: each one is our summary of what a person or organisation has published, with a link to their own words and a note on how strong the evidence is. The people in Blueprints are not affiliated with Vea and don't endorse it.
Before you change your sleep, food, exercise, money or medication in a big way, especially with a health condition or when pregnant, talk to a doctor or another qualified professional. You decide what you try, and you're responsible for that choice.
Your account
- You need to be 16 or older to make an account.
- Keep your sign-in safe: your email, your passkey and, with end-to-end encryption on, your recovery code.
- With end-to-end encryption on, nobody can recover your data for you. If you lose both your passkey and your recovery code, your data is gone. That's the price of the protection, and you accept it when you turn encryption on.
- One account per person. Don't sign in as someone else or let others use your account.
Your data stays yours
What you write is yours. We only store and process it to run Vea for you, as described on the privacy page. You can export it or delete your account at any time in Account settings.
Health information. What you add can be about your health, like sleep, weight, mood or a sick week. That is health data. Vea asks you if it may keep it, only to show it back to you. Your yes is your explicit consent, and Vea keeps it with its date. If you say no, Vea won't ask about your health: Apple Health stays off, the health picks in setup (like sleep, steps and weight) are taken out, a week marked "sick" becomes a rest week, and a backup you restore loses its Apple Health numbers. What you type or import after a no is your own choice; Vea stores it like anything else you write, and you can remove it at any time. You can change your answer at any time in Account settings → Health information. See the privacy page for what happens then and how long backups keep a copy.
Fair use
Use Vea for your own life. Don't try to break it, get into other people's accounts, overload it, or use it for anything illegal. Each account has a storage limit of 5 MB during the beta, which is far more than years of weekly check-ins need.
Price
Vea is free for now. If that changes, we'll say so in the app and by email at least 30 days before anything costs money, and you can export your data and leave without paying anything.
No guarantees
We work hard to keep Vea running and your data safe, with nightly backups. Still, it's offered as it is: it may have bugs, be unavailable at times, or change. Keep your own export now and then if your data matters to you.
As far as the law allows, Vea is not liable for indirect damage or lost data, and its total liability is limited to what you paid for it in the last 12 months. Nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer under Dutch or EU law.
Ending it
You can stop at any time by deleting your account. We may close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why when we can. If Vea itself ever stops, we'll tell you at least 60 days ahead so you can export your data.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top always shows the latest version.
Law and contact
Dutch law applies. Questions or complaints: [email protected]. We'll try to sort things out together first.
